Oklahoma Veterinary Services

Preventive Services

First and foremost, we are interested in the overall health and welfare of your animal. We always start with a full history on your animal, and proceed with conservative, general services and preventive care. If illness progresses or injury requires, we will proceed with more aggressive therapies. You will be part of the decision-making process every step of the way, and we’ll always keep you informed of what’s happening with your pet.

In-hospital pharmacy

When you go to the doctor and get a prescription, you usually have to go to a pharmacy to have the prescription filled. When you’re not feeling well, this can be a real hassle. If your pet needs a prescription medicine after his or her visit to Dr. Jones, we can fill your prescription right here in the hospital, often at a lower price than anywhere else. Your pet is probably already nervous enough about visiting the veterinarian; why make another trip? Rest assured that we can accurately fill your prescription here on site, sending you home with the right medication your pet needs.

On site laboratory

If you’ve ever spent a long weekend nervously waiting on test results from your doctor, you know how stressful that can be. At Woodlake Animal Hospital, we’ve upgraded almost all our equipment to state-of-the-art machines that can read blood, urine, fecal and serum tests right here in the hospital. This means that you will need to wait only minutes–instead of days–to find out test results. This means a treatment plan can begin immediately, possibly making the difference between life or death for your pet.

Digital Radiography

Radiographs (also know as X-rays) can diagnose broken bones, obstructions and other internal conditions. When your pet is suffering, every second counts. Traditional X-rays have to be developed like old-fashioned film: dipped in chemicals, exposed to light for different periods of time…it can take a long time for X-rays to develop, and they may have to be retaken if something went wrong in the process.

With digital X-rays (much like your digital camera), images are cleaner, crisper and available instantly, allowing us to diagnose and treat your pet immediately.

Dr. Brian Jones is trained and experienced in all major veterinary surgical procedures, including spay/neuter, declawing, laser surgery, endoscopy, ultrasonagraphy, and laparoscopic surgery. With these state-of-the-art techniques, your pet has a shorter time under anesthesia, and a shorter and easier recovery time after surgery. All surgeries are done on-site with a fully-trained support staff and cutting edge equipment. Your pet’s safety is paramount at all times.
